deepti Art and Spiritual Development center offers yoga, art, music and dance classes, meditations, regular retreats in Switzerland and abroad, Vedic rituals, beauty treatments, music concerts, teacher trainings and much more. deepti center is created to unite people through the beauty of yoga and art. We are totally and fully based on the principle of devotion or “bhakti”.

In deepti center our team are all devoted and surrendered to our passion, which is our way of life. Most of us are initiated and under the guidance of the Spiritual Master. With the greatest joy we are ready to share love, light, and knowledge to people and also never stop in our own spiritual development.

Our aim at deepti Center is to make humans life more harmonious through devotional service to humanity. With love and devotion, we contribute to society by teaching yoga, art, music.

Yoga

Yoga is unity between our body, mind and spirit. Doesn’t matter how flexible you are or if you manage to wrap your leg around the neck. The real yoga starts from the head. If you can control your mind and your inner state of harmony and peacefulness prevail in any life situation, this is true yoga. Everything you learn on the yoga mat, you transfer to your daily life: balance, endurance, calmness, acceptance, focus.

What yoga classes will be available to you:

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga for beginners starts with cleansing techniques, easy asanas and relaxation. For advanced students, who did strengthen their body pranayama, mudras and bandhas may be practised.

Hatha Yoga is good for:

  • Different part of the body or organ. Often has specific complex for straightening the spine, strengthening the back or abdominal muscles, opening the joints.
  • Improving general state of the health
  • Curing certain illnesses

From Hatha Yoga there are several styles of yoga developed: ashtanga yoga, Iyengar yoga, vinyasa flow.

A well chosen set of asanas, combined with pranayama, meditation, cleansing techniques, balanced diet, sleep and proper relaxation, is most effective in elimination the blocks, fairs, suppressed emotions. The result is the release of the dormant energy, the body become full of vitality and strength, the mind becomes light, creative, joyful and balanced.

 

Practice of Hatha Yoga compose obligatory elements:

  • Shatkarmas – cleansing techniques – Hatha Yoga starts with cleansing of the body: stomach, intestines, nerve system, etc. When body is clean, when it is free from toxins, this reflects on the functionality of the mind: it gains stability, we react on difficult situations in more controlled and relaxed way. Herewith not only physical body is getting influenced, but also spiritual body.
  • Asanas – body positions, specific body poses – through which one can gain stability of the body and mind, flexibility, and freedom from all kind of illnesses. Asana should become stable and comfortable so you can generate energy, heal the body, rejuvenate. Flexible body = flexible mind. Through asana practice the dormant energy potential is released and experienced as increased confidence in all areas of life.
  • Pranayama – breathing exercises. Being established in asana and having control of the body, taking a balanced diet, pranayama should be practiced. Breath is a bridge between body and mind. Breathing consciously is your first step to a more refined and energy-filled life. It is essential that you become aware of your breathing habits.
  • Savasana – relaxation – obligatory part of the practice towards centred body and mind.

 

Restorative Yoga

Smooth and stretching, calm and balanced, accent on breathing and graceful transitions.

Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching.

During the long holds of restorative yoga, however, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It’s a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body.

Yoga anti-stress
Yoga anti-stress stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility as the poses, stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas. It also helps us to regulate the body’s flow of energy.
Yoga anti-stress is a slow-paced style of yoga were postures are held for longer periods of time, also props are used for help. 
Vinyasa Yoga

In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next, each movement is synchronized to a breath.

Vinyasa, also called “flow” because of the smooth way that the poses run together, is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga.

Om Chanting

OM Chanting is a free group practice that uses the transformational power of OM to activate the self-healing potential of participants. The practice transforms negativity into positive energy, helps purify the local environment, and supports the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of participants.

Love is meant to be shared. OM Chanting brings people together to share the positive vibrations of OM and their love for Mother Earth in local communities and nations around the world.

This is a meditation technique given by Spiritual Master to the World and is performed in a special manner. Donation based.

Atma Kriya Yoga

This is a course upon registration only. Atma Kriya Yoga classes typically take place over two full days.

In this course, you will learn:

  • Japa – Reciting an ancient Sanskrit prayer (mantra) attunes your whole being to its powerful vibration and allows Divine Qualities to awaken.
  • Meditation techniques – Concentration and focus helps you bring self-awareness into your daily actions so you can transcend the duality of human existence.
  • Sound yoga – Listening to the symphony of inner mystical sounds emanating from your heart chakra strengthens your intuition.
  • OM Chanting – Group chanting generates harmony and peace for yourself, others and your local environment.
  • Pranayama (breathing exercises) – Observing and controlling your breath promotes physical and energetic balance.
  • Asanas – Five physical yogic postures support yo ur meditation practice, boost your immune system and enhance your physical vitality.
  • Mudras – Body and hand yoga aligns your body’s energy so you can reach your spiritual aim.
  • Main Kriya – This chakra meditation raises your consciousness, unites body and soul, and burns one spiritual year of karma with every breath.
  • Protective Shield – Elevating the vibration of your energy centres protects you from negativity and allows more Divine Light to shine through.
  • 9 Forms of Bhakti – Each technique cultivates a different form of bhakti – love of the Divine – bringing you closer the full realisation.

 

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga as exercise, incorporating principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with asanas (postures) that are held for longer periods of time.

This is very meditative slow style of yoga targeting deep connective tissues, bones, joints and ligaments of the body.

Please wear warm cloth and socks since the practice flow is slow.

Very profond and deep relaxation for body and mind.

     

    Iyengar Yoga

    Iyengar yoga uses lots of different props (chairs, belts, blocks, bolsters) which helps to develop flexibility of parts of the body which is difficult to access. Allows to practice inverted asanas and hand stands. Very high level of therapetical effect.

    For beginners and for advance students who wants to increase the awareness of the body and practice.

       

      Ashtanga Yoga

      Asthanga yoga – the style is energetic, synchronising breath with movements. The individual poses (asanas) are linked by flowing movements (vinyasas).

      On a physical level the asanas build strength and flexibility in the body, loosening tight muscles and realigning and detoxifying the body and nervous system.

      The series begins with forward bends, then twists and hip openers with a vinyasa between each asana.

         

        Yoga Nidra

        Yoga Nidra, or Yogic sleep is a powerful relaxation and meditation technique. All you have to do make yourself comfortable in laying position and follow the instructor’s guidance to dive deep into your subconscious world.

        During Yoga Nidra we will be using all kinds of meditative instruments: gong, Himalayan singing bowls, bells, conch shells, music of the rain, sansula, etc.

        Allow yourself a time for a tea after the session and take it easy. This practice is very relaxing and is 30 min of yoga nidra are considered as two hours of deep sleep.

           

          Therapy Yoga

          Although all yoga is potentially therapeutic and healing, yoga therapy is the specific application of yogic tools—postures/exercises, breathwork, meditation techniques, and more—to address an individual’s physical, mental, and emotional needs.

            WHAT IS INCLUDED IN ONE WEEK UNLIMITED PASS?

            Art

             

            In a creative and friendly atmosphere, you will be guided through the different drawing and painting techniques.

            This is academic drawing taught in best art academies traditions: you will learn step by step perspective, form, shadow and light rules, anatomy, etc. to produce realistic drawing.

            For beginners to advanced levels.  Every student will advance at their own speed and will work on their own projects.

            For the first class you must have pencils 2B, B, HB, H, 2H and drawing paper A3 size or bigger (120gr or more). Otherwise rent of studio material is 5chf. 

            Lessons in English, French or Russian.

             

            Academic drawing

            You will be taught an academic approach, i.e. learning perspective, construction, proportions, rules of shadow and light, anatomy. Classes will be adapted specially for your level, so you can progress from class to class. From more easy task to more complex. From easy geometrical forms to life portrait drawing.

            Oil painting

            Once you are strong and confident in drawing, we will proceed with you to oil painting. Remember that the base for successful painting is precise drawing. You will be guided and taught all about specifications of oil painting. Every student will be guided individually depending on his/her level.

            Plain air

            From time to time we will be going out to nature so we can apply the studio knowledge into the outdoors practice. We will learn and apply perspective, proportions, rules of shadow and light in outdoors specifications.

            Life model drawing

            Human body is the more complex and challenging to draw or paint. Occasionally we will invite the model to the studio so we can apply our knowledge and learn realistic portrait drawing.

            Art

            Art and Music are not only entertainment but also the quickest and most affordable way for all people, with no exceptions, to their spiritual evolution. We all know how art and music can touch our soul, it affects our spiritual and moral condition.

            Art is meditation.

            In a creative and friendly atmosphere, you will be guided through the different drawing and painting techniques:

            In everything you do, do it professionally. Do not say you are an amateur. Practice makes perfect, and we wish to give you a strong base for creating realistic, beautiful drawings and paintings. This is just the matter of time and your dedication, does not matter how old you are. If you can hold a pen, you can draw 🙂 Also there is a saying that painting is highest mathematics, so you have to learn it ! Draw what you see and apply knowledge, here is the secret of a good drawing.

            Music

            Music is one of the very first phenomena that awakens the sense of beauty in the person’s heart. Music can inspire us, can make us dance, spin, music can lift the mood, crowds. But it can also make you cry, bring despondency, sadness, unbalance, cause irritation.

            Choose always the music that awakens the sense of beauty. Music leads us in gentlest way to our heart!

            Piano class for adults

            This is 50min piano class. No matter of age, you can always start from the beginning ! Our experienced music teacher will lead your music education, so in a short while you will be able to play your favourite music pieces. Let music come into your life, this is amazing and beautiful experience ! 

            Piano class for kids

            Educate your child from little. The taste for beauty, for good music can be imposed since a little age. Music also develop the sense of rhythm, coordination, both sides of brains are activated. Our music teacher has developed her own approach in teaching music for kids. The class is based on the form of game, theatre, art, play. Is never boring and always very creative !

            Solfeggio for kids
            Music grammar for kids in form of game, art, play and even toy theatre. Kids simply love it and learn so much quicker in form of a game !
            Music collective class for all levels

            During  thsee classes we will dive into the world of the music grammar! You will be surprised that it is a whole alive planet which sounds, sings, vibrates and sometimes go to silence… that this planet lives by certain rules. You will learn those rules represented in notes, signes, temps, tonalitys nuances. And most of all: YOU can actually rule this music planet on your own, only you would need those tools which you can learn in our classes. Come and join us! Let the heart sing !!!

            Kirtan

            Kirtan is a very different kind of music.  Based on ancient chants, it has the ability to quiet the mind if listened to with intention.  Everyone experiences kirtan differently, and it doesn’t have to be a religious experience.  You can think of it as a sing-along.  A kirtan concert is not your typical concert either.  Everyone sits on the floor, although chairs are usually available.  The performers are accessible, in fact there’s not much of a distinction between performers & audience.  The wallah (leader) sings the mantra, and the audience sings it back.  A single chant can go on for up to forty minutes.  As you sing with each other you experience a deep connection with the musicians, the other audience members and yourself.  And when the music stops, your mind is quiet.

            What have I take with me to the yoga class?

            Just wear comfortable lose cloths. Yoga mat is good idea to have your own, but we provide with Jade Yoga mats at the Deepti Centre.

            What have I take with me to the art class?

            A2 drawing paper and set of pencils, minimum set 2H, H, HB, B, 2B. The rest of the materials for the future will be discussed during the class.

            What have I take with me to the music class?

            No special material needed.

            What if I never did yoga, art or music before?

            We were all a beginners once, give yourself a chance to develop and grow. We are here for you 🙂 May love and light surround you !
